About the role
Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and assess programs and services to enhance student retention, graduation rates, and engagement for diverse student populations.
- Advise and support cultural clubs, identity-based centers, and student organizations in planning meaningful programming and leadership development.
- Advocate for and curate resources for DACA, TPS, and immigrant students in collaboration with the Immigrant Student Program.
- Manage a departmental budget and oversee the procurement of goods and services for student organizations.
- Supervise student employees, including graduate interns and community leaders.
- Lead strategic communications and outreach efforts, including social media and digital engagement, to increase office visibility.
- Collaborate with campus partners to advance inclusion, belonging, and student success initiatives.
Requirements
- Master's degree in Higher Education, Student Affairs, Multicultural Studies, or a closely related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in student affairs, multicultural programming, or student leadership development.
- Demonstrated experience in budget management and event planning.
- Ability to work evenings and weekends to support campus events.
Preferred Qualifications
- Demonstrated knowledge of immigration laws and support needs related to DACA and TPS.
- Proven experience in contract negotiation and managing complex institutional partnerships.
- Experience in developing leadership training curricula for student leaders.
