About the role
Responsibilities
- Serve as a student conduct hearing officer and coordinate hearing boards or appeals.
- Train student conduct hearing boards in collaboration with the Dean of Students.
- Select, train, supervise, and evaluate resident assistant and hall director staff.
- Address student behavior, interpret policies, and report violations of the student code of conduct.
- Lead retention efforts through educational programming and individual meetings with at-risk students.
- Manage residence hall programs focusing on community development and student well-being.
- Supervise hall facility operations, including key management, inventory, and maintenance monitoring.
- Plan housing selection, room assignments, and room change processes.
- Manage area programming, staff development, and facility budgets.
- Participate in an on-call rotation and campus committees.
Requirements
- Master's degree required.
- 2–3 years of experience in residence life, student conduct, educational programming, supervision, or advising.
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to become a university-certified driver.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other office software applications.
- Ability to work effectively with diverse populations and make timely decisions in dynamic situations.
