Assistant Director of Student Conduct & Residence Life

Responsibilities

• Serve as a student conduct hearing officer and coordinate hearing boards or appeals.
• Train student conduct hearing boards in collaboration with the Dean of Students.
• Select, train, supervise, and evaluate resident assistant and hall director staff.
• Address student behavior, interpret policies, and report violations of the student code of conduct.
• Lead retention efforts through educational programming and individual meetings with at-risk students.
• Manage residence hall programs focusing on community development and student well-being.
• Supervise hall facility operations, including key management, inventory, and maintenance monitoring.
• Plan housing selection, room assignments, and room change processes.
• Manage area programming, staff development, and facility budgets.
• Participate in an on-call rotation and campus committees.

Requirements

• Master's degree required.
• 2–3 years of experience in residence life, student conduct, educational programming, supervision, or advising.
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to become a university-certified driver.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other office software applications.
• Ability to work effectively with diverse populations and make timely decisions in dynamic situations.
