Assistant Director of Student Conduct and Care

Responsibilities

• Manage the full lifecycle of residential conduct cases, including intake, review, and assignment.
• Serve as a hearing officer for high-level, sensitive, or complex cases involving safety concerns or bias incidents.
• Ensure conduct processes align with institutional policies, federal guidelines, and higher education best practices.
• Act as a primary administrator for the Maxient database, managing user access and system updates.
• Provide outreach, support, and referrals for students experiencing personal, academic, or mental health challenges.
• Serve as a liaison between the Department of Residence and campus care teams, such as Student Counseling Services and the Dean of Students Office.
• Analyze conduct trends to provide data-driven insights for policy and training development.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree.
• 5 years of related experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree in Higher Education, Student Affairs, Counseling, or a related field.
• Experience with student conduct systems and behavioral intervention processes.
• Proficiency using Maxient or similar case management systems.
• Strong skills in crisis response, conflict resolution, and student support.
• Experience training and supporting professional and student staff.
