Assistant Director of Residential Education

Responsibilities

• Supervise Residence Life Coordinators through weekly one-on-one meetings, staff meetings, and training
• Lead the creation, implementation, and assessment of the residential curriculum and facilitation guides
• Design and execute student staff training, including developing learning outcomes and ongoing development opportunities
• Manage the RLC on-call schedule and participate in the department's crisis response rotation
• Provide administrative support by communicating with parents/guardians and managing room change communications
• Maintain high visibility in residence halls through regular facility tours

Requirements

• Master’s degree in student development, Higher Education, or a related field
• 3-5 years of related work experience in student support (housing or residence life)
• Experience designing and implementing training presentations and ongoing development plans
• Ability to reside on campus to support 24/7 response requirements (university-owned apartment provided)

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with residential curriculum or community development models
• Experience supervising professional and student staff
• Proficiency with software used for residential and community engagement
