About the role
Responsibilities
- Oversee all agency payroll functions using NYCAPS, PMS, CHRMS, and PRISE
- Prepare bi-weekly payroll and managerial lump sum payments (MLSP)
- Process collective bargain increases for unionized members and implement Mayor's Personnel Orders
- Respond to employee payroll inquiries
- Generate confidential reports from NYC personnel databases
- Ensure employee pay rates and additions to gross are current and accurate
- Collaborate with the Timekeeping Department to ensure accurate and timely payments
Requirements
- Experience with payroll administration, accounting, or fiscal management
- Proficiency in computer systems and data entry
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage time-sensitive activities
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Must meet specific educational and professional experience combinations (e.g., Master's + 1 year, Bachelor's + 3 years, or Associate's + 5 years)
