About the role

Responsibilities

  • Provide primary oversight and leadership for Registered Student Organizations (RSOs) and the Student Government Association (SGA).
  • Lead the planning, development, and implementation of fall and spring Orientation programs.
  • Recruit, train, supervise, and mentor a team of over 40 student Orientation Leaders.
  • Serve as the primary advisor to student organization officers and SGA leaders, providing mentorship and operational support.
  • Manage departmental operations, including budgets, purchasing, and student organization management software.
  • Coordinate campus-wide student engagement initiatives and collaborate with various university departments.
  • Serve as a university conduct officer overseeing the RSO conduct process.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Minimum of 2 years of professional experience in Student Activities and/or advising student organizations within higher education.
  • Proven experience in event planning, coordination, and execution.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to engage with students, faculty, and administrators.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, student-centered environment.
  • Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as required by programming needs.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Higher Education Administration or a related field.
  • 3–5 years of professional experience advising student organizations on a college campus.
  • Direct experience working with student government organizations.
  • Proficiency with Campus Groups or similar student organization management software.
  • Experience serving as a student conduct officer.
