Assistant Director of Nursing

Responsibilities

• Collaborate closely with the Director of Nursing and act on their behalf when needed
• Serve as a mentor and coach to build and maintain a resilient care team
• Ensure highest quality of care through direct assessments and evidence-based practices
• Champion a culture of continuous learning by providing ongoing education to nursing team members
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and ensure regulatory compliance
• Maintain a visible presence on the floor for residents, families, and clinicians

Requirements

• Registered Nurse (RN) in good standing
• 1–3 years of experience as an LPN/RN
• 1–3 years of experience in a supervisory capacity
• 1 year of experience in educating or training adult learners
• Knowledge of state and federal laws for skilled nursing facility operation
• Ability to demonstrate competence in relevant technology
• Excellent customer service skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
• Long-term care experience
• Expertise in PPS, MDS, OBRA, and OSHA requirements
• Administrative experience
