Assistant Director of Nursing

Responsibilities

• Collaborate closely with the Director of Nursing and act on their behalf when needed
• Serve as a Mentor and Coach, leading by example to build and maintain a resilient, dedicated care team
• Ensure the highest quality of care through direct assessments, team development, and evidence-based practices
• Champion a culture of continuous learning by providing ongoing education to nursing team members
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and ensure compliance with regulatory standards
• Be a visible leader on the floor, available to residents, families, and clinicians

Requirements

• Registered Nurse in good standing in the state of operation
• 1–3 years of experience as an LPN/RN
• 1–3 years in a supervisory capacity
• 1 year of experience in educating and/or training adult learners
• Knowledge of state and federal laws and regulations for skilled nursing facility operation
• Ability to demonstrate competence in relevant technology
• Excellent customer service skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
• Long-term care experience
• Expertise in PPS, MDS, OBRA, and OSHA requirements
• Administrative experience
