About the role

Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership and administration for the accelerated BSN and Direct-Entry MSN nursing programs at the New Braunfels campus
  • Work closely with faculty, the Director of Nursing, and university leaders to foster an inclusive and dynamic learning environment
  • Oversee student admissions, retention, and progression, collaborating with partners for recruitment and enrollment
  • Assist in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of the nursing curriculum
  • Supervise campus faculty and staff, including providing oversight for daily operations and conducting annual evaluations
  • Collaborate with the Director of Nursing to ensure compliance with accreditation and regulatory requirements
  • Build community and clinical partnerships to enhance the Department of Nursing’s academic excellence
  • Support faculty development and promote a collaborative, respectful campus culture

Requirements

  • Doctoral degree in Nursing or a related field, including at least one graduate degree in Nursing (e.g., MSN)
  • Current, unencumbered RN license in the state of Texas (or eligibility to obtain one)
  • At least five years of professional nursing experience
  • At least two years of nursing education experience
  • At least two years of administrative experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with diverse student populations, including underrepresented groups in nursing
  • Expertise in curriculum design, development, assessment, and compliance with state board regulations
  • Proven track record in obtaining or maintaining nursing program accreditation
  • Experience teaching via instructional technology, concept-based curriculum, or competency-based education
  • Experience building and promoting community and clinical partnerships
