About the role

Responsibilities

  • Directly supervise Resident Directors, providing coaching, mentorship, and professional development.
  • Support the development and assessment of a residential curriculum and intentional programming models.
  • Serve as a first-level student conduct hearing officer for residence hall-related cases.
  • Participate in the professional on-call rotation to respond to emergencies and critical incidents.
  • Coordinate follow-up care and case management for students affected by critical incidents.
  • Assist with residential facility operations, including move-in/move-out processes and occupancy management.
  • Oversee Health and Safety Inspections and coordinate maintenance concerns with Facilities Management.
  • Play an active role in the Resident Assistant selection and training processes.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of full-time Residential Life experience.
  • Experience supervising student staff is required.
  • Experience with student conduct administration and case management.
  • Demonstrated ability to respond to crisis situations and prior on-call experience.
  • Bachelor's degree is required.
  • Must reside in a University-provided on-campus apartment as a condition of employment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in student affairs, higher education administration, or a related field.
  • Experience with direct supervision of professional staff.
  • Proficiency with StarRez or similar housing management software.
  • Experience with Maxient or similar conduct software.
  • Experience collaborating with Behavioral Intervention, CARE, or Threat Assessment teams.
