About the role
Responsibilities
- Manage daily financial aid operations for the College for Adults baccalaureate and associate programs.
- Prepare financial aid packages and perform need analysis using professional judgment in accordance with regulations.
- Review academic transcripts, determine eligibility for state grants, and evaluate Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP).
- Complete federal verification processes and resolve conflicting data or student record adjustments.
- Counsel students, families, and guardians on federal, state, institutional, and private financial aid eligibility and regulations.
- Coordinate with key university offices such as Student Accounts, Registrar, and Academic Advising to resolve complex student issues.
- Monitor and review federal Return of Title IV and state refund calculations for accuracy.
- Maintain current knowledge of financial aid programs by reviewing NASFAA, MAFAA, and federal/state handbooks.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Three (3) years of experience with CRMs (e.g., Banner/Argos, PeopleSoft, PowerFAIDS, etc.) in financial aid administration.
- Knowledge of federal, state, and institutional financial aid policies and regulations.
- Experience with COD, FAA Access, and NSLDS or other related applications.
- Experience serving the needs of 1st generation and BIPOC students.
- Proficiency with Google Workspace and Microsoft Office.
- Ability to work accurately within strict deadlines and provide excellent customer service.
