About the role

Responsibilities

  • Perform and support core financial aid processing functions, including federal verification and Return to Title IV (R2T4) calculations.
  • Stay current on Federal and New York State financial aid regulations to evaluate and enhance operational practices.
  • Manage centralized financial aid activities to ensure accuracy, consistency, and timely service to campus partners.
  • Partner with IT to support annual system setup, testing, validation, and critical software updates.
  • Support the origination process for federal and private loan programs and assist with reconciliation of Pell and loan data with COD.
  • Collaborate with campus colleagues and peer institutions to benchmark practices and implement operational improvements.
  • Participate in special projects aimed at driving innovation and efficiency across financial aid operations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Minimum of 2 years of financial aid operations experience.
  • Strong working knowledge of Federal and New York State financial aid regulations and systems, including COD and NSLDS.
  • Experience with integrated financial aid systems, specifically Oracle PeopleSoft Campus Solutions.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Windows-based environments.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative, cross-functional team.
  • Ability to perform periodic travel to various campus sites.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree.
  • Active involvement in regional or national financial aid associations.
