Assistant Director of Financial Aid

Responsibilities

• Provide direct assistance and advice to the Director regarding office operations, aid policy, and service initiatives
• Manage and maintain financial aid software systems, including Jenzabar CX, and ensure data accuracy
• Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and institutional regulations, including Title IV requirements
• Oversee operational processes such as verification, R2T4 processing, NSLDS updating, and Pell grant administration
• Coordinate the importing and exporting of Direct Student Loan records via COD and the SAIG mailbox
• Provide student loan counseling and communicate aid information to prospective students and families
• Assist with reconciliation activities with the Department of Education and the Business/Finance office
• Supervise student workers or interns as appropriate

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required
• Three years of related higher education or financial aid professional experience
• Demonstrated knowledge of Title IV federal and state regulations
• Experience with computerized financial aid management systems
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office software
• Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Jenzabar CX/aid software systems
