About the role
Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and evaluate comprehensive communications, outreach, and public engagement strategies for the County Clerk’s Office.
- Lead public awareness and education campaigns to increase community reach and understanding of office programs and services.
- Oversee community engagement efforts, including public events, stakeholder meetings, and strategic partnerships.
- Direct media relations, social media management, and public messaging to ensure accurate and consistent information.
- Provide strategic recommendations to executive leadership regarding public perception and emerging issues.
- Supervise, coach, and develop a multidisciplinary team of professionals.
- Oversee Commissioners Court support functions, including court minutes and records digitization.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Public Administration, Business Administration, Government, Criminal Justice, or a related field.
- At least five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in government or a related field.
- At least two (2) years of mid- to senior-level supervisory or management experience.
- Proven expertise in strategic communications, media relations, and community engagement.
- Strong skills in budget development, program management, and performance measurement.
- Proficiency with word processing, spreadsheets, databases, content management systems, and social media platforms.
