Assistant Director of Donor Engagement

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and execute a comprehensive donor relations and stewardship program to foster long-term engagement and investment.
• Recognize and steward key donors through events, ceremonies, annual reporting, and special stewardship pieces.
• Facilitate scholarship recipient participation and author scholarship reports to maximize student-donor relationships.
• Collaborate with internal partners to prepare and distribute annual impact reports to donors and internal audiences.
• Oversee the review and approval process for gift agreements and ensure compliance with University policy.
• Coordinate stewardship communications, including gift acknowledgments, memorial tributes, and donor thank-you videos.
• Partner with Advancement colleagues to develop engagement strategies for top donors and high-profile alumni.
• Lead and participate in events sponsored by the Office of Institutional Advancement.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree.
• 2-5 years of experience in stewardship, donor relations, development, alumni relations, or advancement communications.
• Proven experience in project management and event planning.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple initiatives.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (including Excel, Word, and Access).
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with CRM systems and data management.
• Demonstrated ability to collect, evaluate, and interpret data to make recommendations.
