Assistant Director of Community Life

Responsibilities

• Select, train, supervise, and evaluate Resident Assistants
• Manage the housing selection process for first-year and returning students
• Coordinate move-in/out processes and health and safety inspections for on-campus residents
• Respond to residential concerns, conflicts, and emergencies as part of the On Call Team rotation
• Oversee student community standards and the student conduct process, including documentation and hearings
• Develop and implement initiatives that promote community connection and a sense of belonging
• Collaborate with Facilities, Campus Safety, and other campus partners to address residential needs

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to manage event logistics, including scheduling, budgeting, and promotion
• Knowledge of policy compliance and risk management within student affairs
• Ability to work evening and weekend hours as needed for student events

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Higher Education Administration, College Student Affairs, Guidance and Counseling, or a related field
• At least 2 years of graduate or professional experience in fraternity/sorority life and/or student affairs work
