About the role

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement communication, outreach, and social media campaigns, including managing a content calendar to increase program awareness.
  • Research, plan, and implement Arts Initiative programming and events both on campus and with external cultural partners.
  • Oversee website content curation and updates, ensuring compliance with established style guides.
  • Manage email outreach strategies, including creating communications, managing lists, and coordinating with external vendors.
  • Utilize research and data analytics to evaluate programs and improve strategic outreach planning.
  • Serve as a department representative at university orientations, information sessions, and other scheduled events.
  • Maintain comprehensive communication and program archives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
  • Three years of related professional experience.
  • Proven experience developing and implementing communication and social media campaigns.
  • Proficiency with Content Management Systems (CMS), preferably WordPress.
  • Experience with email marketing software, preferably Mailchimp.
  • Strong project management, organizational, and written/verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work on-site at the Morningside Heights campus, including occasional evenings and weekends.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Professional communications experience within the performing arts, visual arts, or higher education sectors.
