Assistant Director of Athletics

Responsibilities

• Provide administrative assistance in managing all aspects of the athletic department, including budgeting, personnel, and scheduling.
• Serve as the department’s compliance coordinator to ensure all conference and national eligibility standards are met.
• Oversee the monitoring of academic progress for student-athletes in the role of athletic retention coordinator.
• Assist in recruiting, hiring, training, and evaluating staff members.
• Support marketing strategies and fundraising endeavors to promote the athletics program.
• Coordinate scheduling for games and practices at the Sullivan Center and other facilities.
• Perform game-day administration and serve as the HUDL liaison.
• Maintain recruitment spreadsheets and act as a liaison between athletic teams and university services like Financial Aid and Admissions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree.
• Three years of administrative experience.
• Ability and willingness to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Willingness to support the Catholic and Franciscan values of the University.
• Ability to perform the physical requirements of the position, including sedentary work and travel.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Athletic Administration.
• Five years of administrative experience in a collegiate-level athletic setting.
