Assistant Director of Annual Giving

Responsibilities

• Execute strategic broad-based giving campaigns including direct mail, email, crowdfunding, and phonathon to increase annual philanthropy.
• Manage and execute at least five direct mail and five strategic email campaigns each fiscal year.
• Oversee the university's tele-funding strategy and execute at least two phonathon campaigns annually.
• Coordinate at least two online crowdfunding campaigns per fiscal year.
• Develop content, audience segments, and themes for various solicitation methods targeting alumni, students, faculty, staff, and parents.
• Track and report on campaign progress, including President’s Circle membership and fulfillment rates.
• Support Alumni Relations and student philanthropy events, including social media communications and event planning.
• Collaborate with the Alumni Programming team and Advancement Services to ensure seamless constituent engagement.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited university.
• Knowledge of higher education fundraising practices or previous experience working in higher education.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with high attention to detail.
• Proficiency in MS Office, G Suite, and the ability to learn new software quickly.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively with peers, supervisors, and students.
• Willingness to work non-traditional hours for portions of the academic year.
• Must be currently authorized to work in the United States.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience running a phonathon or tele-funding program.
