Assistant Director of Alumni Engagement

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute a comprehensive calendar of alumni events, including Homecoming, Alumni Weekend, and regional programs.
• Develop strategies to increase alumni participation, volunteer engagement, and overall engagement metrics.
• Manage and leverage the Almabase alumni community platform.
• Collaborate with Advancement and Marketing teams to manage alumni communications, social media accounts, and webpages.
• Partner with development staff to promote alumni giving opportunities such as Giving Day and annual fund initiatives.
• Support the Alumni Association Board and incorporate philanthropic messaging into engagement efforts.
• Track and report on engagement metrics and maintain accurate records within Advancement systems.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in alumni relations, community engagement, volunteer management, or special events management.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple competing priorities and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
• Experience with data management systems.
• Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Blackbaud Raiser's Edge NXT.
• Experience working within a Higher Education environment.
