About the role
Responsibilities
- Manage a freshman recruitment territory, primarily focusing on the northeast United States
- Evaluate admission applications and make timely decisions or recommendations
- Represent the college through extensive travel to high schools, boarding schools, and college fairs
- Conduct information sessions, regional programs, and campus tours for prospective students and families
- Implement recruitment strategies using online/print communications, events, and referrals
- Maintain consistent follow-up with prospective students and families via phone, email, and text
- Collaborate with financial aid and other campus offices to support student enrollment
- Participate in virtual events, including webinars and online information sessions
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution
- One or more years of experience working in admissions or student services at an institution of higher education
- Ability to travel extensively, including overnight stays
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree in student services, higher education, or student development
- Two or more years of experience in admissions or student affairs within higher education
