About the role
Responsibilities
- Provide technical leadership for the development organization and drive continuous improvement across engineering, DevSecOps, and release capabilities
- Lead development teams within a SAFe Agile environment to design, develop, test, and deliver high-quality solutions
- Drive advancement of DevOps practices by partnering with infrastructure and operations teams to improve automation and deployment workflows
- Shape and evolve solution architecture across platforms and integrations to support changing business needs
- Lead the build-out of application development and support capabilities for the OneShield platform
- Accountable for the support, stability, and continuous improvement of production applications
- Partner with business leadership and product management to align priorities and guide delivery decisions
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in computer engineering or related field, or equivalent work experience
- 7+ years of leadership experience in application development or technology management
- 5+ years of experience in property and casualty insurance technology
- 10+ years of experience in application development (client/server, web, service-oriented, or cloud-enabled)
- 7+ years of experience with application data and enterprise data platforms (e.g., Microsoft SQL Server)
- Legal authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship
Preferred Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of property and casualty insurance business operations
- Experience with Microsoft development platforms
- Proficiency in Agile methodologies such as SAFe or Scrum
