Responsibilities
- Serve as a confidential advisor and subject matter expert to the Human Resources team and College leadership regarding employee relations, benefits, compensation, and workforce planning.
- Collaborate with the recruitment team to ensure hiring and onboarding needs are met while promoting inclusive practices and EEO compliance.
- Partner with the Benefits Administrator to oversee the effective administration of medical, dental, vision, FMLA, disability, and wellness programs.
- Provide leadership to compensation and HR data management functions, including classification reviews, workforce analytics, and regulatory reporting.
- Support and coach HR Business Partners in addressing performance concerns, workplace conflicts, and policy interpretation.
- Guide workplace investigations, disciplinary actions, and performance improvement plans.
- Lead regular meetings with direct reports to support professional development and operational effectiveness.
- Utilize data and workforce metrics to identify trends and recommend improvements for organizational effectiveness and employee engagement.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, Public Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 7 years of progressively responsible Human Resources experience.
- Minimum of 3 years of supervisory, leadership, or team lead experience.
- Demonstrated knowledge of federal and state employment laws (FMLA, FLSA, ADA, EEO, Title IX, etc.).
- Proficiency in HRIS, applicant tracking systems, and Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and interpersonal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in a related field.
- Professional Human Resources certification (SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, SPHR, or GPHR).
- Supervisory experience specifically within a Human Resources environment.
- Experience with Colleague and PeopleAdmin software.
