Assistant Director for Student-Athletes – Undergraduate Advising

Responsibilities

• Manage a student-athlete caseload and directly supervise and mentor Student-Athlete Academic Advisors
• Collaborate with faculty, coaches, learning specialists, and various campus offices to support student-athlete success
• Oversee the implementation of key programs such as Life Skills programming and the Dean’s List Halftime Event
• Oversee data entry and reporting within the ARMS system to ensure accuracy and NCAA compliance
• Serve as a continuing eligibility certification officer for the University
• Evaluate transfer credits for prospective student-athletes in accordance with institutional policies
• Stay abreast of NCAA legislation and regulations to ensure academic and athletic eligibility

Requirements

• 3–5 years of progressively responsible experience in academic advising or a related field
• Master's degree in a related field or currently in pursuit of one
• Proficiency in utilizing computerized registration and degree audit applications
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills for interacting with students, faculty, and staff
• Experience interpreting and administering academic policies

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with SCT Banner, EAB Navigate360, or Degree Works
• International, cultural, or language experiences and skills
