About the role
Responsibilities
- Administer residential facilities, including coordinating hall openings/closings, managing room inventories, and addressing maintenance concerns for approximately 500 students.
- Supervise and develop a staff of 13-15 Resident Assistants (RAs), including selection, training, and performance management.
- Foster community development through student programming, conflict mediation, and the enforcement of institutional policies.
- Adjudicate student conduct cases and serve as a resource for Student Affairs staff and campus committees.
- Participate in a regular "on call" duty rotation, including nights and weekends.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree required.
- Minimum of two years of experience in a residence life or housing position within a college or university setting.
- Strong knowledge of current student development practices.
- Excellent time management, organizational, and technology proficiency.
- Ability to act independently and respond appropriately to crisis situations and policy enforcement.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's Degree in College Student Personnel, Counseling, or a related field.
- Familiarity with campus technologies such as Google Docs, NCBI, Banner, Adirondack, and Maxient.
