About the role

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for external communications for the Department of Athletics
  • Manage official athletic websites and social media channels
  • Create and edit video and graphic content for departmental use
  • Perform in-game management duties at press and scorer’s tables
  • Handle statistical coverage and historical record keeping
  • Oversee student workers and collaborate with contracted photographers and webcasting producers

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • 1-3 years of experience in an intercollegiate sports information office or athletic department setting
  • Strong writing and editorial skills
  • Working knowledge of desktop publishing (Adobe Photoshop preferred)
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Meticulous attention to detail and strong interpersonal skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of experience in collegiate athletic communications
  • Knowledge of Statcrew software and video production
  • Specialized training in NLS/NCAA statistical software
