About the role

Responsibilities

  • Provide data, technology, and financial systems support to the Financial Aid Office, including PeopleSoft processing and reporting.
  • Assist with financial aid systems setup, maintenance, enhancement, and project management.
  • Manage and troubleshoot the Document Imaging system, including monitoring data uploads and clearing error queues.
  • Support weekly and annual packaging processes, resolving ISIR issues and monitoring awarding.
  • Document financial aid processes and create training materials for end users.
  • Counsel a caseload of students regarding aid applications, determination of need, disbursement, and appeals.
  • Maintain auditable records of aid awards and adjustments in accordance with state and federal regulations.
  • Collaborate with IT and external agencies to assist with system testing and implementation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • 3-5 years of progressive experience in an automated financial aid office, preferably in higher education.
  • Applied knowledge of Title IV regulations regarding federal verification, student eligibility, and aid applications.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Access, Excel, Outlook).
  • Ability to work evenings and weekends as requested.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with PeopleSoft software.
  • Background or experience in student counseling techniques.
  • Experience with or willingness to learn SQL, advanced Excel formulas, query, or Oracle Business Intelligence.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
