Assistant Director - Experience Designer

Responsibilities

• Lead the interaction design of user interfaces across multiple products and platforms
• Simplify and unify complex information into intuitive interactions, flows, charts, and graphs
• Employ user-centered design methods to develop specifications such as use cases, site maps, wireframes, and documentation
• Advance the established design system and pattern library to promote consistency and accessibility
• Design and prototype GenAI-powered features including natural language queries and predictive UI patterns
• Conduct user research and usability testing to validate design decisions and iterate based on feedback
• Create detailed specifications to communicate visual designs to product managers and engineers
• Perform quality assurance reviews of developed pages to ensure adherence to design specifications

Requirements

• 8-12+ years of experience designing mobile and web interfaces
• Proficiency with design and prototyping tools such as Figma, Lobable, Replit, V.0, or Cursor
• Experience working with Material UI
• Familiarity with HTML, CSS, and frontend frameworks like React.js, Next.js, or Angular
• Experience with collaboration and research tools such as Dovetail, Jira, or Miro
• Bachelor of Fine Arts degree or a similar relevant field
• Strong verbal, written, and visual communication skills, including experience presenting to senior leadership

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience working within a financial environment
• Basic understanding of artificial intelligence concepts and interest in responsible AI practices
