Assistant Director/Coordinator of Upward Bound

Responsibilities

• Identify, recruit, and retain participants for the Upward Bound Program
• Design educational plans and provide services to ensure student retention and graduation
• Develop and implement cultural, social, and personal development activities and trips
• Provide counseling, mentoring, and academic advisement to participants
• Assist students with college applications and financial aid processes
• Monitor participant progress and maintain accurate records and demographic profiles
• Facilitate workshops based on identified participant needs
• Assess program services and activities through regular reports and evaluations
• Provide leadership in securing data and assisting with grant proposals

Requirements

• 3 years of experience working with disadvantaged students or TRIO Programs
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software
• Strong supervisory and leadership skills
• Knowledge of counseling techniques and diagnostic testing
• Ability to facilitate small groups and coordinate student learning
• Ability to interact effectively with students from diverse educational and social backgrounds

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree in guidance and counseling, education administration, or a related field
