Assistant Director, Career Development

Responsibilities

• Conduct one-on-one career advising for students and alumni to assist in achieving career goals through skills assessment and strategic planning.
• Oversee major Fall and Spring career fairs and employer engagement events, including venue procurement, vendor negotiation, and event promotion.
• Cultivate and nurture relationships with employer partners to secure full-time and internship opportunities for students.
• Teach skill-based seminars on topics such as resume writing, interviewing, and job search strategies.
• Leverage emerging AI tools to enhance student career readiness and integrate technology into advising strategies.
• Collaborate with student graphic designers and social media teams to market employer engagements.
• Track data and metrics regarding employer engagement and career outcomes.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of industry and higher education experience.
• Experience with social media platforms.
• Ability to track and analyze data and metrics.
• Familiarity with AI technologies and tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude).
• Demonstrated ability to work with and advocate for a diverse student population.
• Ability to work occasional nights and weekends as required by event schedules.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) platforms.
• Experience with prompt development for AI tools.
