Assistant Director - Business Valuations (Tax)

Responsibilities

• Manage multiple valuation assignments on a day-to-day basis and lead small project teams
• Collaborate with other EY service lines, including Transaction Diligence and Transaction Tax teams, on live transactions
• Act as a primary point of contact for clients and their deal advisors through regular meetings and liaison
• Deliver high-quality valuation analyses and reports within established timelines and budgets
• Identify potential project issues and contribute to effective solutions
• Provide on-the-job training, guidance, and mentorship to junior team members
• Support new business development efforts and contribute to client proposals

Requirements

• Proven experience in valuation within a professional services firm, industry, or tax authority
• Specific experience valuing management incentive arrangements, including work on live transactions
• Ability to interpret complex security term sheets and articles of association
• Proficiency in constructing and reviewing complex Excel-based waterfalls
• Extensive experience using PWERM and OPM-based valuation models
• Strong familiarity with Private Equity funding structures
• Excellent analytical skills, numeracy, and attention to detail
• Strong written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working on cross-border, multi-disciplinary teams
• Ability to work autonomously in small teams while remaining an effective team player in larger engagements
• Commercial awareness and a risk-aware approach to problem-solving
