About the role
Responsibilities
- Coordinate the production of live broadcasts, streaming events, and in-venue video displays for athletic contests and university events.
- Edit video footage from games, interviews, and other productions to create engaging broadcast content.
- Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot professional broadcast equipment, including cameras, audio systems, and editing software.
- Develop storytelling concepts, scripts, graphics, and sponsorship content that align with institutional branding.
- Recruit, train, schedule, and supervise student workers, interns, and contractors.
- Ensure all productions comply with institutional, conference, NCAA, FCC, and applicable legal requirements.
- Collaborate with athletics and conference staff regarding event schedules and distribution channels.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Broadcasting, Communications, Digital Media, Sports Media, Video Production, or a related field.
- Demonstrated experience in live event broadcasting, video production, or related media operations.
- Proficiency with professional broadcast equipment and digital production software.
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and other non-traditional hours based on event schedules.
- Ability to lift and carry equipment weighing up to 40 pounds regularly and up to 70 pounds as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting Division I athletics or collegiate sports broadcasting.
- Proven success in managing live-streaming operations for multiple simultaneous events.
- Experience supervising student employees or part-time production staff.
- Knowledge of NCAA and broadcast partner production standards.
