Assistant Director

Responsibilities

• Set vision for and oversee the execution of student engagement strategy
• Supervise and mentor the student-facing staff team
• Nurture student leadership for Shabbat, holiday programming, service, and Jewish learning
• Partner with the Executive Director on day-to-day operations and strategic planning
• Oversee program budgets, grant reporting, and financial stewardship
• Lead staff hiring, onboarding, and performance management
• Build trusted relationships with university administration, faculty, and student organizations
• Oversee student-facing communications and digital presence

Requirements

• 4-7 years of experience in Jewish, nonprofit, higher education, or mission-driven settings
• Bachelor's degree required
• Deep fluency in Jewish life and diverse Jewish identities
• Experience in people management and staff development
• Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, Shabbat, and holidays

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree or equivalent experience
