Assistant Director – Audio Visual Technical

Responsibilities

• Oversee the performance, training, and development of AV technical and special event operational teams
• Direct the operation, deployment, and maintenance of fixed AV and entertainment equipment, including LED walls, IP-based video routing, and specialist lighting
• Develop and implement AV system uptime strategies, performance KPIs, and lifecycle planning
• Implement quality control mechanisms for setup, storage, audio/video output, and health and safety standards
• Lead troubleshooting and resolution for systems and equipment issues
• Manage outsourced service providers and third-party vendors
• Evaluate AV requirements and manage inventory and purchase requests for operational supplies
• Ensure exceptional guest audio and visual experiences across the resort

Requirements

• Minimum 15 years of experience in Audio Visual technical services
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a senior leadership role managing technical teams
• Industry certification in Visual Display System control technology
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Excellent interpersonal and coordination abilities in multicultural environments
• Degree in Audio Engineering, Technical Theatre, Production Design, or a related field preferred
• Experience in luxury resorts or five-star entertainment venues is highly desirable
