Assistant Director, Applied Learning

Responsibilities

• Identify, cultivate, and maintain relationships with external organizations, including Fortune 500 and global professional firms, to create learning opportunities.
• Design, launch, and manage co-curricular programs such as microinternships, job shadowing, and student consulting initiatives.
• Collaborate with faculty and program leaders to integrate industry-sponsored projects into existing undergraduate, MBA, and master's courses.
• Act as a bridge between academic requirements and business needs by translating business problems into structured learning experiences.
• Track and assess the effectiveness of applied learning initiatives through data collection, surveys, and stakeholder reporting.
• Maintain detailed records of corporate engagement and partnership pipelines within the university CRM system.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree.
• 5+ years of progressive professional experience in corporate partnerships, business development, consulting, or experiential education.
• Proven experience building and maintaining relationships with corporate stakeholders and external partners.
• Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple complex initiatives under tight deadlines.
• Proficiency in CRM systems and Microsoft Office Suite (particularly Excel).
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills for engaging with executives, faculty, and students.

Preferred Qualifications

• Understanding of pedagogical principles for experiential and applied learning.
• Experience developing and launching new programs in a professional or academic setting.
• Strong analytical skills for assessing program outcomes and preparing impact reports.
