Assistant Director - Applied AI Engineer

Responsibilities

• Identify high-friction business problems and design effective software solutions
• Build end-to-end, full-stack applications powered by modern AI tooling
• Own technical design and direction for assigned projects, communicating architectural tradeoffs
• Partner with users to translate workflow insights into product and engineering decisions
• Deploy solutions to production and manage ongoing performance, reliability, and improvements
• Review, test, and approve code to ensure quality and maintainability
• Mentor other engineers and contribute to the team's technical growth and engineering standards

Requirements

• Strong generalist engineering experience with the ability to deliver scalable software across the full stack
• Practical experience applying modern AI and machine learning techniques in production environments
• Demonstrated ability to lead technical design and own complex technical decisions
• Experience building and shipping full-stack applications using modern frameworks
• Ability to translate ambiguous business problems into well-designed technical solutions
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience)

• Deep expertise in implementing advanced AI solutions, including agentic AI systems
• Proven track record of driving strategic transformation and operational efficiency through AI
• Strong communication skills for explaining complex technical concepts to non-technical partners
