Assistant Designer, Print, RTW

Responsibilities

• Support the development of seasonal print, pattern, and graphics from research and concept through to execution
• Create factory-ready specifications, including repeat tiles and color separation using Photoshop and Illustrator
• Maintain and update print charts, walls, archives, and boards for team reference
• Collaborate with Product Development and other cross-functional partners throughout the design process
• Execute print layouts, textile designs, and colorway developments
• Create original artwork through painting and digital mediums, as well as cleaning purchased artworks
• Manage multiple seasons simultaneously and track development deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Support day-to-day operations of the print department across T-shirts, soft accessories, and runway categories

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Fashion, Textiles, or Surface Pattern Design
• Digital portfolio of work demonstrating relevant design skills
• Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, and Microsoft Excel
• Knowledge of technical print design development techniques and commercialization
• Ability to hand draw and paint in various mediums
• Strong design, conceptual, and organizational skills with a keen sense of style and color

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with PLM software
• Previous internships or professional design experience specifically in print and textile design
