Assistant Designer - Footwear

Responsibilities

• Support the Senior Designer on daily tasks and seasonal projects
• Research trends, materials, trims, and colors to design new products
• Create detailed specifications and technical drawings for new developments and sample modifications
• Identify opportunities for new shapes and products to enhance the existing range
• Assist the design admin assistant with maintaining trackers
• Work closely with the Buying team to ensure production meets quality requirements
• Produce high-quality work within tight deadlines

Requirements

• Footwear design experience
• Internship or admin experience within a footwear design environment
• Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator or freehand sketching
• Practical knowledge of producing spec sheets for production
• Strong understanding of current and upcoming fashion trends
• Ability to translate 2D concepts into detailed illustrations
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills

Preferred Qualifications

• A strong passion for sneakers and casual footwear
• Ability to interpret trends through the lens of existing brand house codes
