About the role

Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic leadership for the University’s accountability, community standards, conflict resolution, and restorative practices efforts.
  • Oversee the administration, assessment, and continuous improvement of the student conduct system, including formal and informal resolution pathways.
  • Lead restorative and alternative resolution initiatives, such as facilitated dialogue, mediation, and restorative conferencing.
  • Supervise professional staff and hearing bodies while developing policies aligned with federal law and professional standards.
  • Collaborate with campus partners to support student well-being, risk management, and behavioral intervention.
  • Conduct complex investigations involving student organizations, behavioral concerns, and interpersonal conflict.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Higher Education, Student Affairs, JD, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in student conduct administration or a related student affairs area.
  • Experience administering equitable student conduct processes in a higher education setting.
  • Experience conducting complex investigations and facilitating alternative conflict resolution (mediation, restorative conferencing, etc.).
  • Strong knowledge of FERPA, the Clery Act, Title IX, and other relevant federal and state regulations.
  • Experience supervising professional staff or graduate assistants.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Formal training in mediation, restorative justice, or conflict coaching.
  • Experience leading restorative justice initiatives in higher education.
  • Knowledge of CAS Standards and ASCA Knowledge & Skills competencies.
  • Experience collaborating with Behavioral Intervention Teams or threat assessment teams.
  • Experience working within mission-driven or faith-based institutions.
