Assistant Dean of Strategy and Communications

Responsibilities

• Establish and drive a multi-channel communications strategy for the College that aligns with university priorities.
• Supervise, mentor, and develop a team of communication professionals.
• Serve as a primary advisor to College leadership on messaging, public speaking, and stakeholder engagement.
• Collaborate with deans, department heads, and external partners to align communication efforts with institutional goals.
• Provide executive communications support, including developing talking points, issues briefs, and press pitches.
• Analyze performance metrics and qualitative data to evaluate the impact of communication strategies.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree and 7 years of related experience.
• Proficiency with communications platforms such as Cision and Meltwater.
• Proven experience in strategic planning and team management.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in higher education or academic communications.
• Ability to manage complex stakeholder relationships across diverse sectors.
• Experience using AI applications and modern content management platforms.
