About the role

Responsibilities

  • Advise students on course selection, registration, and degree requirements for various SIPA programs.
  • Support student life activities, including new student orientation, workshops, and Town Halls.
  • Manage student groups, extracurricular activities, and student involvement programs.
  • Serve on the SIPA Admissions Committee and participate in recruitment and marketing events.
  • Participate in disciplinary hearing panels regarding academic integrity and social misconduct.
  • Plan and execute student programming, speaker series, receptions, and retention initiatives.
  • Supervise Office of Student Affairs coordinator staff as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • Three years of related administrative experience, including student services, event coordination, and staff supervision.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and strong computer skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently, set priorities, and exercise discretion in sensitive matters.
  • Experience facilitating meetings, networks, and committees.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in higher education.
  • Advanced degree.
  • Experience with international education.
  • Experience working with undergraduate students and student life programming.
