Assistant Dean for Advancement

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a comprehensive advancement program specifically for the School of Law
• Build and maintain strong relationships with individual donors, alumni, foundations, and corporations
• Manage a personal portfolio of major gift prospects to secure philanthropic support
• Lead and manage a team responsible for annual giving, alumni relations, and communications/marketing
• Collaborate with central university advancement teams to align Law School priorities with university-wide efforts
• Ensure effective communication with all School of Law stakeholders

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree required
• Minimum of five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in development, preferably in higher education
• Demonstrated success in managing a major gifts portfolio and closing gifts at the $25,000+ level
• Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
• Proficiency with advancement databases

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree or Juris Doctor (J.D.)
