Assistant Dean, Conservatory Recruitment

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a high-impact recruitment strategy for the Conservatory of Music to support enrollment goals across all degree programs.
• Manage a recruitment territory through extensive travel (6–8 weeks annually) to engage with prospective students, families, and music educators.
• Serve as the primary admissions representative, conducting high school visits, attending music festivals, and participating in college fairs.
• Utilize data analytics to identify growth opportunities and strengthen recruitment pipelines.
• Evaluate applications and audition outcomes to align selections with Conservatory enrollment priorities.
• Lead dynamic presentations, interviews, and recruitment events both on-campus and virtually.
• Supervise Conservatory Admissions student interns, providing training and mentorship.
• Build and expand referral networks by cultivating partnerships with private instructors, arts organizations, and school counselors.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree, preferably in music.
• 3+ years of professional work experience in a results-driven environment.
• Demonstrated knowledge of music education, collegiate music study, or performing arts recruitment.
• Demonstrated cultural competence and a commitment to fostering diversity and inclusion.
• Exceptional communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• Valid driver's license.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in collegiate admissions, music education, or arts administration.
• Proven success in a sales, recruitment, or customer engagement role with measurable outcomes.
• Experience with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems and data analysis tools.
• Ability to work independently and adapt to dynamic priorities.
