About the role
Responsibilities
- Provide strategic direction for the Career Education and Advising team to ensure alignment with Career Management Center (CMC) goals.
- Lead and develop a high-performing team of 14 professional staff members, providing performance oversight and professional development.
- Design and oversee the career education curriculum, including seminars, workshops, and panels featuring senior business leaders.
- Provide strategic guidance on professional development content and resources for MBA and MS students.
- Oversee career advising frameworks, including individual and group sessions on networking, interviewing, and job offer management.
- Collaborate with senior faculty, academic centers, and student clubs to align career offerings with market needs.
- Partner with the Strategic Partnerships Team to establish employer and alumni engagement strategies.
- Leverage employment and market data to inform curriculum development and strategic planning.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree required.
- 7-9 years of related experience, including staff management, career advising, and professional development programming.
- Demonstrated experience leading professional staff in higher education, career services, or talent development.
- Proven ability to build relationships with diverse stakeholders, including students, faculty, and employers.
- Strong analytical mindset with the ability to use data to inform strategic decisions.
- Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to work some evenings, Saturdays, and occasional early mornings, with some travel required.
Preferred Qualifications
- 10+ years of relevant experience in career services or talent development.
- Experience recruiting for or working within core MBA industries such as investment banking, consulting, or technology.
- Familiarity with career coaching models, assessment tools, and evidence-based advising practices.
- Proficiency with career services platforms and student engagement technologies.
