Assistant Day Program Facilitator

Responsibilities

• Support the implementation of person-centered plans and individual goals
• Facilitate daily activities, group programs, and special events to promote social interaction
• Ensure a safe environment by adhering to safety rules, emergency procedures, and crisis intervention
• Attend to members' health and medical needs, including personal care and medication recording
• Provide emotional support and role model appropriate behavior to encourage independence
• Maintain accurate documentation, including incident reports and financial transaction records
• Perform light housekeeping and ensure the facility is kept in accordance with agency policies

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Criminal record check with Vulnerable Sector clearance
• Manitoba Child Abuse Registry Check
• Manitoba Adult Abuse Registry Check
• Ability to lift and carry up to 40 pounds
• Fluent in spoken and written English
• Ability to work onsite in Winnipeg, MB

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience working in a day program or social service setting is considered an asset
