Assistant Community Manager

Responsibilities

• Support the Community Manager in property operations, financial record keeping, and resident relations
• Assist with leasing activities, including showing units, screening applicants, and processing applications
• Execute marketing and advertising tasks to drive community occupancy
• Maintain accurate resident files and process lease paperwork using the Yardi system
• Handle financial tasks such as accepting rental payments, preparing receipts, and assisting with rent collection
• Communicate effectively with residents, prospects, and vendors to resolve inquiries and maintenance requests
• Ensure compliance with all community policies and Fair Housing requirements

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Fair Housing Certification (or willingness to obtain before interacting with prospects)
• Strong English communication skills (oral and written)
• Valid driver’s license with a good driving record and auto insurance
• Ability to work most weekends
• Ability to stand, walk the property, and climb stairs for extended periods

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous apartment management experience
• Bilingual skills in Spanish
• 2+ years of college education
