Assistant Community Manager

Responsibilities

• Support the Community Manager in property operations, financial record-keeping, and resident relations
• Assist with leasing, marketing, and showing units to prospective residents
• Process applications, conduct credit and rental history checks, and secure deposits
• Maintain accurate resident files and input lease information into the Yardi system
• Manage rent collection, prepare receipts, and issue late notices
• Handle resident inquiries and follow up on maintenance service requests
• Assist with advertising materials and monitor local rental market trends
• Ensure all invoices are approved, coded correctly, and paid promptly

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Fair Housing Certification (or willingness to obtain before interacting with prospects)
• Strong oral and written communication skills in English
• Valid driver’s license with a good driving record and auto insurance
• Ability to work most weekends
• Ability to stand, walk the property, and climb stairs for extended periods

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous apartment management experience
• Bilingual in Spanish
• 2+ years of college education
