Assistant Community Manager

Responsibilities

• Support the Community Manager in property operations, financial record-keeping, and resident relations
• Assist with leasing activities, including showing units, screening applicants, and processing applications
• Maintain accurate resident files and input lease information into the Yardi system
• Manage rental payments, prepare receipts, and assist with rent collection and late notices
• Communicate professionally with residents, prospects, and vendors to resolve inquiries and maintenance requests
• Assist in preparing advertising materials and presenting creative marketing ideas to drive occupancy
• Ensure all invoices are approved, coded correctly, and paid promptly

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Fair Housing Certification (or willingness to obtain before interacting with prospects)
• Strong oral and written communication skills in English
• Valid driver’s license with a good driving record and auto insurance
• Ability to work most weekends
• Ability to stand, walk the property, and climb stairs for extended periods

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous apartment management experience
• Bilingual in Spanish
• 2+ years of college education
