Assistant Community Manager

Responsibilities

• Assist in managing building occupancy and maintenance
• Meet with prospective tenants to show properties and conduct interviews
• Process rental applications and explain occupancy terms
• Produce and distribute notices for non-payment of rent
• Conduct move-out apartment inspections and complete deposit statements
• Place approved advertising online or in print
• Build relationships with tenants, vendors, and team members
• Collaborate with the property management team on advertising materials
• Process applications and conduct credit checks
• Communicate professionally with tenants regarding property issues
• Collect and maintain records of rent payments and rental activity
• Comply with anti-discrimination laws regarding housing and advertising
• Walk property and ready units to ensure quality and cleanliness

Requirements

• Minimum of two years of property management experience
• Minimum one year of experience processing move-out statements and reading ledgers
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong customer service and organizational skills
• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of Yardi property management software
• Ability to speak Spanish
