About the role
Responsibilities
- Assist in all operational duties of the Community Manager including reporting, rent processing, and leasing
- Manage resident relations by responding to complaints, questions, and requests
- Handle property finances including collecting, posting, and depositing rents and security deposits
- Oversee property operations and staff in the Community Manager's absence
- Organize and execute resident appreciation and retention events
- Ensure compliance with Fair Housing, ADA, and landlord/tenant laws
- Assist with leasing duties and touring prospective residents
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience as an Assistant Community Manager
- Knowledge of LIHTC/Tax Credit Programs
- Proficiency in Yardi Voyager Property Management software
- Strong understanding of landlord/tenant and Fair Housing laws
- Solid bookkeeping and rent collection experience
- Proficiency in Windows (Word, Excel), internet, and email
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
